Delicate vs bold look for TV personality Hofit Golan

It is no secret, that just a few correctly put accents in makeup and clothes can radically change your whole look, and demonstrate different sides of your character. This is exactly the goal, which we were trying to achieve in a photoshoot for the spring issue of Gate Magazine. Hofit Golan, a charming TV personality agreed to model for us. Israeli-born Hofit works and lives in London, is ever present on the television, and is the face of numerous fashion brands, collaborates with designers and does her part in charity work.

Despite obviously being super busy, Hofit still looks absolutely stunning – every time this beautiful blonde goes out, it causes a furore. In order to further emphasize Hofit’s individuality, I tried to play with contrasts and created two very different looks: one is gentle and feminine, and another is daring and sexy.

For the photoshoot, Hofit wore clothes from one of the most mysterious and chic Russian brands – Maison Bohemique, autumn-winter 2014/2015.

First look: very feminine and soft, it suits well to the dresses from Maison Bohemique, used for the photo shoot.

Skin tone

In order to even out the skin tone, I used Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation, shade 035 Beige Dore.

Face correction

To correct the face I used Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. I applied a little bit of bronzer on the forehead, at the hairline, under the chin, highlighted the cheekbones, and just a little bit on the nose wings. A proper blending is the key to success! Then some highlighter under the eyebrow and the back of the nose.

For this look, I made Hofit’s eyebrows softer and lighter by using products from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I smoothed the unruly hairs with a Brow Fix Clear Wax Pencil and emphasized with a Brow Wiz pencil, shade Auburn, and shadows Brow Powder Duo, colour Blonde.

Eye makeup

For the inner corner of the moveable eyelid I used Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows, shade Shell 17. I put silvery-gray shadows on the middle of the eyelid, and on the outer corner I applied a bit of black using Tom Ford, Titanium Smoke palette. I made a gentle transition from the brighter shade to dark and blended it well.

To give the gaze some proper depth I used Bobbi Brown Eyeshadows, shade Blonde 21on the crease of the moveable eyelid. I used a white Kiko Kajal Khol Pencil, shade 101 on the lower inner eyelid.

In order to make Hofit’s gaze more expressive, I used individual false Shu Uemura eyelashes, and drew the eyelashes with Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara.

I drew the contour using a MAC Spice pencil, and applied Make Up For Ever, 5 lipstick palette N14, shade L111.

To give Hofit’s face some freshness, I emphasized the cheek apples with a MAC Powder Blush, shade Ambering Rose.

Finishing the look

I finalized the makeup with MAC Studio Fix, NC 25 powder.

Second look : Rock’n’Roll – daring and very sexy

To make the look sharper, I changed the hairstyle by creating a bouffant and styling hair using a Sebastian Professional, Shaper Fierce, Ultra-firm Finishing Hairspray.

Skin tone

The foundation is the same as in the first look: Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation, 035 Beige Dore.

In order to make Hofit’s look more daring and expressive, I slightly extended and emphasized the eyebrow with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz pencil, shade Caramel.

Eye makeup

I used pearlescent Makeup Factory 254 palette, lined the eyelashes hairline with a Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eyeliner, Black Ink. We used the same mascara as in the previous look – Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara.

The main emphasis in this look was put on the lips – we had to change the gentle shade from the previous look to a bright and provocative red, so I lined Hofit’s lips with a MAC Redd pencil, and applied Sephora Cream Lip Stain lipstick, shade 01 Always Red. And finally, I covered the lips with a Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss, 60.

Voila, the look is complete!
